This was such a great book! The author puts a dark, modern spin on the classic superhero story, without it being cheesy at all. The character development is very good, and the imagery put into every scene added so much to the story. There are many subtle, mysterious parts to the storyline that are slowly revealed throughout, and the philosophical ending is very interesting.Product details

Gods In Oslo is the unbelievable first novel of 18 year old author, John Plaski. His tale of a global spy organization pulled apart brick by brick by rogues is chilling. His super human characters are brought to their knees with human fallibility, regrets and remorse as they attempt to take the moral high ground. The fallout is shattered bodies, souls and psyches. A fabulous read!
The story is clearly written from the the mindset of the characters having been through many negative experiences, but they don't really see their actions as that unusual. It's not until everyone begins to search their own memories, that pieces begin to fall into place. Who is really controlling the thoughts and actions of the players? And are the motives for the betterment of everyone, or only for a few?
Mr. Plaski writes with a true sense of the possibilities that can exist in man. He is able to explain what is sometimes not easy to admit to ourselves. Having the ability to look into the hearts and minds of men is not an easy trait, especially for someone as young as Mr. Plaski. I look forward to his next endeavor.
A gripping, futuristic tale on the surface; below that, a look at the human mind's complex capabilities & motives. This book was a roller coaster adventure ride that I did not want to put down. Weeks after reading it, I am still thinking about the characters as if I knew them personally.
I'm truly amazed that this is the author's first novel - looking forward to many more.
